小说家李唐（张本煜 饰）接到昔日恋人高丽（王佳佳 饰）的电话，被告知她要来他所在的城市出差三天。在这三天里，他们一起回到了过去，体验了当下，演绎了未来。在他们即将告别时，高丽带着李唐来到玄武湖，她讲述起一件往事，李唐对此错愕无言，恍然间不知当下是何时……

The scientist’s assistant, Simon, struggles all the while to free himself and warn Roche. A magical world of baroque submarines and sailing ships, killer octopus, undersea bicycles dazzles audiences as human actors, puppetry, animation and fanciful scenic design interact to create a cinematic experience that is unique by any standards. 　　In a small rural community local police officers Zoe and Patrick begin their shift as normal but it soon becomes clear that something is wrong. Strange events unfold before their eyes, residents begin behaving strangely and mass suicide panic spreads amongst the community they are trying to protect. Zoe and Patrick realise they are under siege from alien machines as they become cut off from the outside world. They are forced to do battle against these uninvited visitors. With the help of some of the residents Zoe and Patrick begin unravelling the mystery and soon discover it is not all as it seems.
